Your selection process for the
Ryanair Future Flyer Academy

To join the Astonfly Ryanair Future Flyer Academy training programme and secure your first conditional job offer as an airline pilot, you must successfully complete a dedicated selection assessment. This assessment is offered at a cost of €149.

1. ONLINE PRESELECTION

Pre-selection is conducted through an online remote assessment, including various tests in logic, reasoning, and English.

The result determines whether the candidate is shortlisted for the next stage of the selection process.

Successful completion of this pre-selection remains valid for 12 months.

2. ON-SITE SELECTION

If the candidate successfully passes the online pre-selection, they will be invited to complete a group assessment and an individual interview at the Astonfly campus in Paris – Toussus-le-Noble (France).

The group assessment evaluates your ability to work in a team, communicate effectively, and solve problems collaboratively. The individual interview allows recruiters to better understand your motivation, your passion for aviation, and your suitability to become a professional pilot.

These key stages are designed to identify promising talents who will join the ranks of Ryanair pilots.

    DID YOU KNOW?

The salary of an airline pilot varies widely, from €36 to €200,000 gross per year, depending on the airline, the type of aircraft operated, the position held (co-pilot or captain), seniority and flight experience.

If you want to become an airline pilot, you can take the Integrated ATP course (Multi Airlines or Ryanair Future Flyer Academy), which enables you to become an airline pilot thanks to 2 years of intensive, full-time training.

The Ryanair Future Flyer Academy program is more expensive, as it offers students a conditional promise of employment signed with Ryanair before the start of their training, and the company manages and supervises the student for the duration of their training.

To help you finance your professional project, Astonfly has a partnership with BNP PARIBAS. You benefit from a preferential rate of just 1.99% to finance the cost of your training, with repayment over 9 years that can be deferred for up to 36 months.

In the event of failure or withdrawal during the theoretical course, Astonfly will reimburse you in full for the sums already paid for your training. In the event of failure or withdrawal during the practical course, Astonfly will reimburse you for any flight hours not yet used, without penalty.

To enroll in an Astonfly Ryanair Future Flyer Academy airline pilot course, you need:

    • Freedom to study in the UE
    • Freedom to work in UE or UK or MA
    • 17 years of age at the start of the training
    • Clean Criminal record
    • Highschool diploma

Commercial pilot training typically lasts between 18 and 24 months.

Astonfly has a fleet of 3 types of aircraft: single-engine Cessna 172S G1000, multi-engine DA42 G1000 and Mudry Cap 10 aerobatic aircraft. The school also has FNPT II-certified flight simulators at Toussus le Noble and Boeing 737 MAX FTD Level 2 simulators in Dublin (Ireland) and Berlin (Germany).

It is essential for student pilots to have a good level of English, both to be able to follow the theoretical and practical courses, which are given in English, and for radio transmissions, which are mainly in English.

    ONLINE PRE-SELECTION
    02:20

Pre-selection is based on an online, distance learning test, including various tests in mathematics/physics, logic, reasoning and English. The results determine whether the candidate is selected for the next selection phase.

    2. Three video assessments

    Results

    SUCCESS :
If the candidate is selected during the online pre-selection, they will be invited to take part in a group test and an individual interview at the Astonfly site in Paris - Toussus le Noble (FR).
