Pauline Foubart
First Officer, Airbus A320
I completed my training at Astonfly from September 2018 to September 2020. The theoretical part was taught in Toussus-le-Noble. Then came the practical training, where I had the opportunity to learn from fantastic instructors who taught me the airline pilot profession through flights and simulators.
I started my career as a pilot at Astonjet in business aviation, then joined Air France as a First Officer on the Airbus A320.
Nicolas Jovanovic
Captain, Boeing 737
As a former Astonfly student who completed an airline pilot training program, I had the opportunity to benefit from high-quality training, with a level of professionalism that met the demands of the profession, on a modern aircraft fleet, with competent and demanding instructors.
Thanks to this high-quality training, I had the opportunity to complete my Boeing 737 type rating successfully and was then immediately selected by Air Baltic at the time. I am currently continuing my career with Ryanair.
Antoine Martorana
First Officer, Boeing 737
Astonfly was my number one choice for my professional pilot training after working as an aeronautical engineer. The school's professionalism, experienced instructors, and modern fleet of aircraft prepared me from the start for the standards of my first employers.
I started my career as a solo pilot on a Diamond DA62, I joined Ryanair with my training partner less than a year after we left school and today I am a co-pilot at Transavia on a Boeing 737NG.
The high standards and level of training required during my Astonfly course ensured a smooth transition to my Boeing 737NG type rating. While I approached my training seriously, I always thoroughly enjoyed flying at this superb school.
Solal Gabin-Novel
First Officer, A350
As a former Astonfly student for my ATPL training from 2018 to 2020, I greatly appreciated the two years I spent at the school, which enabled me to reach the required standard to join an airline.
Throughout the course, the different instructors who trained me, as well as the teaching staff, provided me with all the necessary skills to succeed in the exams and in the selection processes. It is the high quality of the training that allowed me to transition smoothly to the type rating and line operations.
David Sitruk
First Officer, Dassault Falcon 7X
A professional and rigorous school with numerous instructors in brand new facilities. Latest generation aircraft, clean and available thanks to an on-site mechanical workshop and efficient ground service."
I completed my integrated training in less than 18 months, and was then hired immediately by a business aviation company, which was my goal. It was a real pleasure to have trained at this school. I highly recommend it.
Etienne Toutoundji
First Officer, Boeing 737
Without Astonfly, I probably wouldn’t have learned about Ryanair’s recruitment program so quickly. I was fortunate enough to be among the first to participate after my training. Thanks to the school’s support, I was able to attend conferences, understand in detail what was expected of me, and prepare effectively for my future role with the company. This preparation and support allowed me to seize opportunities I wouldn’t have otherwise imagined.”
I was hired three months after completing my training at Ryanair as a Second Officer. Thanks to the solid training I received at Astonfly, I expect to progress quickly to become a First Officer. This testifies to the quality and relevance of the training provided by Astonfly.
Mathias Mimouni
First Officer, Boeing 737-800
I was fortunate enough to complete my integrated training at Astonfly between 2018 and 2020.
The quality of the aircraft, the premises, and the strong investment of the instructors allowed me to obtain my CPL IR ME in 2 years despite the context of the health crisis.
The school trains us, from the very first moment, for the profession of airline pilot and this is strongly felt when we are in the simulator with pilots who have undergone training elsewhere (especially during the MCC).
Thanks to the high quality of the training, I was able to find my first job as an airline pilot the year after I finished my training.
I am completely satisfied with my experience at Astonfly and I highly recommend that anyone wanting to become a pilot sign up!
Anthony Bégé
First Officer, Airbus A320
After a few years as a navigator in the Air Force, I decided to retrain as a civilian pilot to make use of the military experience I had gained. Looking for a school to obtain my CPL license and IR ME rating, I quickly settled on Astonfly.”
Indeed, the use of a modern fleet, the issuance of EASA qualifications, and the location in the Paris region were decisive factors. This gamble paid off, since following my training I started working as an instructor and then as a pilot in business aviation, and now I fly Airbus aircraft at Air France.
Lucas Herail
First Officer, Boeing 777
I completed my airline pilot training at Astonfly. Thanks to this high-quality training, I acquired a rigor and professionalism that are essential skills for practicing this profession.
I benefited from suitable infrastructure, a team of competent instructors, and a very modern fleet. Therefore, I believe that Astonfly offers all the necessary training to succeed in this profession. That's why I recommend this flight school.
Olivier Larignon
First Officer, Boeing 737
In 2018, I joined ASTONFLY for an integrated ATP training program. The quality of the teaching team and the opportunity to meet brilliant instructors gave me the chance to achieve my goal in a field I am passionate about. The methods instilled by this school, a taste for hard work and effort, and a sense of perseverance, allowed me to be prepared for type rating as well as line operations.
I highly recommend this school and thank the entire team who supported me in my work to gain access to the controls of a liner.
Sylvain Baty
First Officer, Embraer 190
I completed my integrated ATP airline pilot training at Astonfly between December 2019 and November 2021. Upon graduation, I had the opportunity to join Astonjet to work on the ground and shortly thereafter, started as a co-pilot on the C525 M2. The school's teaching tools and the quality of the instruction allowed me, through personal work and investment, to reach a very competitive level in the market for pilots without experience.
The school's framework is rigorous, the instructors are demanding, and the training is well standardized, providing an excellent working environment for students (the school is the tool you have to become a pilot, but personal commitment is the key to quality).
DID YOU KNOW?
The salary of an airline pilot varies widely, from €36 to €200,000 gross per year, depending on the airline, the type of aircraft operated, the position held (co-pilot or captain), seniority and flight experience.
If you want to become an airline pilot, you can take the Integrated ATP course (Multi Airlines or Ryanair Future Flyer Academy), which enables you to become an airline pilot thanks to 2 years of intensive, full-time training.
The Ryanair Future Flyer Academy program is more expensive, as it offers students a conditional promise of employment signed with Ryanair before the start of their training, and the company manages and supervises the student for the duration of their training.
To help you finance your professional project, Astonfly has a partnership with BNP PARIBAS. You benefit from a preferential rate of just 1.99% to finance the cost of your training, with repayment over 9 years that can be deferred for up to 36 months.
In the event of failure or withdrawal during the theoretical course, Astonfly will reimburse you in full for the sums already paid for your training. In the event of failure or withdrawal during the practical course, Astonfly will reimburse you for any flight hours not yet used, without penalty.
To enroll in an Astonfly ATP airline pilot course, you need at least a high school diploma and a satisfactory level of understanding and expression of the English language.
Commercial pilot training typically lasts between 18 and 24 months.
To enrol in the Astonfly Multi Airlines course, you must be at least 17 years old when the course starts.
Astonfly has a fleet of 3 types of aircraft: single-engine Cessna 172S G1000, multi-engine DA42 G1000 and Mudry Cap 10 aerobatic aircraft. The school also has FNPT II-certified flight simulators at Toussus le Noble and Boeing 737 MAX FTD Level 2 simulators in Dublin (Ireland) and Berlin (Germany).
It is essential for student pilots to have a good level of English, both to be able to follow the theoretical and practical courses, which are given in English, and for radio transmissions, which are mainly in English.
Selection is based on an online, distance learning test, including various tests in mathematics/physics, logic, reasoning, general aeronautical knowledge and English.
