YOUR SELECTION TO THE RYANAIR FUTURE FLYER ACADEMY PROGRAM

To join Astonfly’s Ryanair Future Flyer Academy training program and get your first conditional promise of employment as an airline pilot, you need to pass a specific selection test. This test costs 149 euros.

1. ONLINE PRESELECTION

Pre-selection is based on an online, distance learning test, including various math/physics, logic, reasoning and English tests.

The result determines whether the candidate is retained for the next selection phase.

Successful pre-selection is valid for 12 months.

2. ON-SITE SELECTION

If you are successful in the online pre-selection process, you will be invited to take part in a group test and an individual interview at Astonfly’s site in Paris – Toussus le Noble (FR).

The group test assesses your ability to work in a team, communicate effectively and solve problems collaboratively. The individual interview allows recruiters to better understand your motivations, your passion for aviation and your aptitude to become a professional pilot.

These crucial stages are designed to identify promising talent to join the ranks of Ryanair pilots.

THEY BECAME AIRLINE PILOTS WITH ASTONFLY

With its Ryanair programme, Astonfly has already trained several hundred pilots who are currently working for Europe’s leading airline.

    DID YOU KNOW?

The salary of an airline pilot varies widely, from €36 to €200,000 gross per year, depending on the airline, the type of aircraft operated, the position held (co-pilot or captain), seniority and flight experience.

If you want to become an airline pilot, you can take the Integrated ATP course (Multi Airlines or Ryanair Future Flyer Academy), which enables you to become an airline pilot thanks to 2 years of intensive, full-time training.

The Ryanair Future Flyer Academy program is more expensive, as it offers students a conditional promise of employment signed with Ryanair before the start of their training, and the company manages and supervises the student for the duration of their training.

To help you finance your professional project, Astonfly has a partnership with BNP PARIBAS. You benefit from a preferential rate of just 1.99% to finance the cost of your training, with repayment over 9 years that can be deferred for up to 36 months.

In the event of failure or withdrawal during the theoretical course, Astonfly will reimburse you in full for the sums already paid for your training. In the event of failure or withdrawal during the practical course, Astonfly will reimburse you for any flight hours not yet used, without penalty.

The school also has FNPT II-certified flight simulators at Toussus le Noble and Boeing 737 MAX FTD Level 2 simulators in Dublin (Ireland) and Berlin (Germany).

It is essential for student pilots to have a good level of English, both to be able to follow the theoretical and practical courses, which are given in English, and for radio transmissions, which are mainly in English.

    ONLINE PRE-SELECTION
    02:20

Pre-selection is based on an online, distance learning test, including various tests in mathematics/physics, logic, reasoning and English. The results determine whether the candidate is selected for the next selection phase.

    - Safety orientation
    - Stress management
    - Situational awareness and problem solving
    - Collaboration
    - Commercial thinking

    2. Three video assessments
For each of these 3 videos, you will have 40 seconds of preparation time and a maximum of 2 minutes of recording time, with only one attempt per video. The aim of this assessment is to measure your passion for the course while evaluating your oral expression in English.

    Results

    SUCCESS :
If the candidate is selected during the online pre-selection, they will be invited to take part in a group test and an individual interview at the Astonfly site in Paris - Toussus le Noble (FR).

re-trained. After a failed attempt, there is a 2-month waiting period before you can retake the entrance test.
