Most failures occur during the theoretical phase, even before practical training begins. Astonfly is today the only school in Europe to offer a contractual safeguard allowing the student, in the event of failure or withdrawal at the end of this phase, to recover the full amount paid for the theory, subject to the conditions set out in the contract.
This unique guarantee lets you commit to the training with greater peace of mind, limiting financial risk at the point where it matters most.

24 modern aircraft dedicated to your training
Astonfly relies on a homogeneous fleet made up mainly of a single-engine model, the Cessna 172S, and a multi-engine model, the Diamond DA42.
This consistency lets students focus on procedures, flying and their progress, without constantly adapting to different cockpits.
Garmin G1000
The Cessna 172S and Diamond DA42 are fitted with Garmin G1000 avionics, letting you work on a modern glass cockpit from the start.
Four seats
The layout lets two students and their instructor take part in the same training session.

Paired training: fly, observe, analyse
Each session is prepared by two students with their instructor. While one flies, the other observes from the back seat, listens to the exchanges, analyses the decisions and takes part in the debrief. The roles then swap over across the sessions.
So the student learns during their own flight, but also by actively observing their partner's.
Instructors connected to the profession
Astonfly instructors guide students in acquiring technical skills, from basic flying to instrument flight on multi-engine aircraft.
They also pass on the working methods, rigour, communication and behaviours expected in a professional cockpit. Several of them work as airline pilots or have operational airline experience.

A path designed for employment
Support doesn't stop at graduation. Depending on the programme, here is what awaits you once training is over: validation then a funded type rating at Ryanair, or the maintenance of your ratings, career coaching and access to Astonjob with Multi Airlines.
Final validation by the airline
At the end of training, a final assessment confirms your ability to continue the path towards Ryanair. The job offer signed before training remains conditional.
Funded Boeing 737 type rating
After completing the programme and passing the final validation, Ryanair funds your Boeing 737 type rating, the last step before the line.
Joining as a First Officer
You join Ryanair as a First Officer on the 737, subject to passing the training to the airline's criteria. Ryanair highlights a possible progression from cadet to Captain in 4 to 5 years, depending on its operational needs.

Revalidation of your IR/ME rating
The IR/ME is the rating that lets you fly a multi-engine aircraft using the onboard instruments, particularly when weather conditions don't allow flying by visual reference alone.
In the year after you finish training, Astonfly covers its revalidation to keep this rating valid and let you continue to meet the prerequisites of pilot recruitment.
12 months of follow-up with a career coach
For the 12 months after you graduate, you receive personalised support from a career coach.
This follow-up helps you organise your search, prepare your applications, better understand airlines' expectations and move in a structured way towards your first pilot job.

Why I founded Astonfly
I founded Astonfly with a simple conviction: you don't become an airline pilot just by learning to fly a plane. You become one by learning to be rigorous, to make decisions, to work as a team and never to stop improving.
This training is demanding. There will be moments of doubt, tiredness and sometimes failure. We will never tell you it will be easy. But we promise you will never be alone.
For more than twenty years, our teams have supported every student with the same ambition: to help them see their project through and become the pilot they dream of being.
