The Class 1 medical certificate is the mandatory medical examination for airline pilots. It is carried out at an approved aeromedical centre and checks that your health is compatible with the demands of the job.
Why deal with it early
Appointment lead times vary between centres, and the certificate is a condition for entering practical training. Starting the process as soon as you apply avoids pushing back an intake.
