Admissions

Astonfly runs four intakes a year: March, June, September and December. Each session takes a limited number of students, to preserve the availability of instructors, aircraft and simulators throughout the course.
We recommend applying three to six months before your target intake. This gives you time to prepare your application, pass the selection and arrange your funding without rushing.
The admission process includes online tests, an interview and a review of your application. The first part is remote, then final assessments take place on campus depending on the programme chosen.
In parallel, two steps take time: obtaining the Class 1 medical certificate, carried out at an approved aeromedical centre, and setting up your funding solution.
The Class 1 medical certificate is a condition for starting practical training: it’s best to begin early, as appointment times vary by centre.
On funding, a first payment of 10% is made at enrolment, with the balance spread over monthly instalments up to 18 months. A BNP Paribas student loan, whose repayment can be deferred up to 36 months, often completes the arrangement.
